简单地球模型的研究进展

Progress in Simple Earth Models

  • 摘要: 以简单概念性气候模式(SCMs)和中等复杂程度的地球系统模式(EMICs)为对象,介绍了简单地球模型的研究进展。在简单地球模型中,简单概念性气候模式已经成为了解气候理论和气候变化规律的有效工具;中等复杂程度的地球系统模式涵盖了地球系统的大多数组成部分,对各部分之间的反馈和过程描述比较详细,同时计算要求比较低,使其应用几乎覆盖了简单概念性气候模式以及耦合气候系统模式的所有研究领域。EMICs必定会有更大的发展,从而在地球气候模拟中起到更加重要的作用。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, by taking Simple conceptual Climate Models (SCMs) and Earth system Models of Intermediate Complexity (EMICs) as research objects, simple climate models and their application in climate modeling are introduced. Simple conceptual climate models have become effective tools to understand the theory of climate and climate-change law. Earth system Models of Intermediate Complexity (EMICs) cover most of the components in the Earth system, and describe the process and feedback among the various components in more details. Because EMICs have low computational requirements, modeling applications of EMICs cover almost all fi elds of simple conceptual climate models and CGCMs simulations. EMICs will surely achieve a greater development and play a more important role in the Earth's climate simulation.
