Abstract:
Based on meteorological data (temperature, precipitation, sunshine, wind) during the period from 1961 to 2012, the terrain, soil, rivers, and so on in Jimo City, Shandong Province, it was zoned in Jimo City for the suitability of shrimp farming by using standardized method, weighting comprehensive evaluation method, selecting indexes of shrimp farming suitability and combined with the GIS spatial analysis technology. Results show that the most suitable areas are mainly located in the southern Wangcun Center Community, the most parts in the Wenquan street, the northern Aoshanwei street, the central of Tianheng provincial tourism resort in Jimo land shrimp farming areas, accounting to 37.35% of the total area farmed. The suitable areas are larger, mainly located in Jinkou Center Community, Fengcheng Center Community, Aoshanwei street, and some small areas in other towns, accounting upto 48.25% of the total areas farmed. The generally suitable areas are less, including the northern Jinkou and Fengcheng Center Community, and a small area in the southeastern Aoshanwei street, accounting only 14.40%. In overall,the high suitable areas are nearby the sea, low-lying and better climatic suitable regions, the climatic suitable areas for the ocean farming are nearby the ocean.
