Abstract:
In this paper, the main meteorological disasters in the Sheshan National Tourist and Vacation Areas are analyzed by using the climate data for 1955-2014, such as average temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, insolation duration etc.The influences of meteorological parameters on this area are studied with the climate comfort evaluation and meteorological disaster. It is found that the major meteorological disasters in this area include fog, typhoon, storm, wind, thunderstorms and high temperature, which were occurred in different period with higher frequency in May - October. Nineteen comfortable tenday periods in a year are suitable for tourist activities between March and May, late September and the end of December. And seventeen ten-day periods in a year are not suitable for tourist activities between January and February, June and the middle of September. Some suggestions for tourism weather service based on these results are listed in the conclusion.
