Abstract: Under the impacts of global warming and rapid urbanization, the local climatic environment in Shenzhen has changed significantly, including the increase of high temperature days, the increase of short-duration precipitation intensity, the increase of the number of haze days and so on. In order to cope with the changes of local climatic environment and promote the sustainable development of the city, Meteorological Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality has organized a series of urban climate services, including providing climate assessment for urban master planning, providing technical services for sponge city construction and promoting the establishment of urban natural ventilation assessment. These efforts have already played an important role in keeping the climatic environment quality acceptable during the rapid development of Shenzhen.
