Abstract:
Based on the literature with the key words of “climate change” “economy” and “impact” published since 2010 in the core collection of Web of Science (WOS), this paper studies the research theme, evolution process and frontier hotspots in the field of economic impact of climate change from the perspective of visualization bibliometric analysis. It is aimed to understand and grasp the research context and hotspot evolution in this field since 2010, and to identify the development trend, so as to provide reference for promoting the development and innovation of the research on the economic impact of climate change in China. The results show that since 2010, the research on the economic impact of climate change can be mainly divided into 6 clusters based on keyword co-occurrence, which are emission reduction and sustainable development, adaptation and crisis management, climate fairness and equity, land and ecology, recreation and fishery, and agriculture and water security. The research progress in this field involves two phases, namely research themes with crossing fields (2011-2016) and technical methods & climate solutions (2017-2021). Since 2017, the research frontiers have been shifted toward the second phase. And the research frontiers in the recent years have focused on research methodology and solutions, including machine learning, techno-economic analysis and nature-based solution.
