Advances in the Application of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Meteorological Satellite Ocean Remote Sensing

  • 摘要: 为应对气象卫星海洋遥感数据的高维、异构、海量的数据特征,人工智能(AI)技术正驱动该领域技术研究与应用场景的深刻变革。文中概述了AI技术为气象卫星在海洋研究与应用中提供的新思路与解决方案,重点介绍了气象卫星数据在海洋研究中的AI方法应用进展,涵盖卫星观测资料增强与融合、海洋要素反演、海洋天气监测与智能决策等关键领域;同时,提出了该领域当前面临的核心难点:多源异构数据处理瓶颈、数据驱动模型与物理机制融合问题、服务化链条贯通挑战。未来,需聚焦于突破数据处理瓶颈、发展物理约束AI模型、探索前沿AI技术及推动场景化智能服务落地,以充分发挥AI技术在提升海洋遥感“监测精密、预报精准、服务精细”能力中的作用。

     

    Abstract: To address the high-dimensional, heterogeneous, and massive data characteristics of meteorological satellite ocean remote sensing, artificial intelligence (AI) is driving transformative advances in research and applications in the field. This article outlines AI-enabled novel approaches and solutions for ocean studies and applications using meteorological satellite remote sensing. We emphatically introduce some recent progress in AI methodologies across key domains: Satellite data enhancement and fusion, ocean parameter retrieval, marine weather monitoring, and intelligent decision-making. Meanwhile, current core challenges are identified, including bottlenecks in processing multi-source heterogeneous data, integrating data-driven models with physical mechanisms, and bridging operational service chains. Future research should focus on breaking data processing bottlenecks, developing physics-constrained AI models, exploring cutting-edge AI techniques, and promoting scenario-based smart services. These efforts will fully leverage AI's role in enhancing ocean remote sensing capabilities for "precise monitoring, accurate forecasting, and refined services".
