Preliminary Assessment of Tourism Climate Resources in Jinfo Mountain of Chongqing

Using meteorological data from the Jinfo mountain station, the tourism climate characteristics of Jinfo mountain in recent decades were analyzed. The results show that the temperature in Jinfo mountain is low all year round, with an annual average of 8.2 ℃, the landscape includes clouds, sunset clouds, snow scenes, glaze, rime, etc; Jinfo mountain is rich in sea of clouds throughout the year, it is the best time to watch the sea of clouds in winter and spring and after heavy rains, sometimes you can see the cloud cover mountain and cloud waterfalls; in summer, there are about 10 days a month on average to watch the sunset; in winter, there will be snow; glaze and rime appear are more concentrated in winter, with an average annual occurrence of more than 70 days, second only to Mount Emei; the phenological landscape of Jinfo Mountain includes azaleas and unique square chimonobambusa forests. The results of climate comfort calculated based on the temperature and humidity index indicate that the most suitable period for tourism is from June to September.
